Co-Curricular Activities

The college encourages the students to participate in many other activities such as sports,cultural, debates etc. The college is providing opportunities by conducting events in the college such as:

  • Inter class table tennis, cricket, chess championships.
  • Inter class elocution competition.
  • Rangoli and drawing competition.
  • Times of India Elocution Competition & other inter college debate competitions.
  • Inter college cricket tournament.
  • Quiz Competition.
  • Regular participation in youth festival of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
  • Students regularly celebrate Annual Day with events like folk-dance,mono-acting,drama,classical dance,garba etc.

  • The sports teacher Mr. K S Chauhan is member of Board of Sports of the university. He is also appointed as match referee, university team manager etc.

NCC/NSS

Every Student of the college shall have to join any one of NCC,NSS or Physical Education Schemes for the first two years of his studies in the College.Minimum attendance (75%) as prescribed by the University, is mandatory for the classes,sessions and programmes in these extra-curricular activities too.

 NCC:

  • Three cadets got selected at All India Nau Sainik Camp – Vishakhapattanam and one cadet got Silver Medal in Seuraphore Competition and best cadet competition.

  • Total of Eight cadets participated in Narmada River Sailing Expedition Sailing Expedition.

  • Total of Forty cadets volunteered for Special Olympics (Kalrav School) organized at Bharuch for physically and mentally handicapped children / students.

  • Total of Thirty one cadets participated at State level (Stain Main) parade for 26th January 2007 organized at Bharuch

  NSS: 

  • Environment awareness program

  • 10 days special camp at Kavitha

  • Cycle expedition to Kevadia Colony Narmada Dam.

  • 7 days trekking camp at Dalhousie Literacy drive

  • Flood relief work

Extention

Extension Activities:-

  • Environmental awareness "Vruksha Ropan" The "55th Vanmohatsav" was organized by the state Government
  • Cycle expedition and Photography competition to commemorate "Tourism Year".
  • Red Ribbon Club for AIDS awareness.
  • Drip irrigation for “Charak Baug”.
  • Visit of Capt. Laxmi Sahgal, Ms. Mrinalini Sarabhai and Ms. Malini Iyer to the college.This program was organized for generating National feeling and a feel of freedom struggle among the students

Extension in College Neighbourhood:- 

  • Juvenile Home children visited the college on Republic Day Celebration and Raksha Bandhan celebration.
  • Medical camp with NARDES (an NGO)
  • Relief work in natural calamities(disaster)

Walfair Society

Narmada College Staff Cooperative Credit Society:-

  • There is a registered cooperative society run by the staff members of the college.
  • The society was established in 1989.
  • The society provides loans at low interest rates up to Rs. 1 lac.
  • Priority is given to members requiring loans on medical grounds. 

 Student Welfare - Canteen:-

  • Canteen facility is available.
  • Hygienic vegetarian food.
  • Aerated drinks are banned in the canteen for health purpose.
  • Teachers and students both use canteen.
  • Reasonable Rates.
